MultiClear®
A single unit emitting the exact wavelengths of light at the most effective intensity for safe phototherapy of multiple common skin disorders. Technology endorsed and used by leading dermatologists in major universities a clinics across five continents, for all skin types. It emits the narrowest effective wavelengths of narrow band targeted UVB,UVA1 and intense blue light without affecting the surrounding healthy tissues. Developed and produced by CureLight, world pioneers and leaders in Phototherapy with the Selective Photo Clearing (SPC™) proprietary technology.
Multiclear uses three optimized wavelengths: UVB 304-313nm, UVA-1 360- 370nm and Blue 404- 420nm in a single pulse. MultiClear carries optimized full therapy solutions in one system with various wavelengths. It treats the following conditions: Vitiligo,Stretch-marks, Acne, Psoriasis, Morphea and Keloids.
Vitiligo:
Vitiligo is a disease in which the skin loses pigment due to the destruction of melanocytes or pigment cells. Areas of the skin become white. The most common sites of pigment loss are body folds (such as the groin or armpits), around body openings and exposed areas like the face or hands. Vitiligo is common; in fact 1 to 2% of the general population has it. Its incidence is higher in people with thyroid conditions and some other metabolic diseases, but most people who have Vitiligo are in good health and suffer no symptoms other thanareas of pigment loss. Vitiligo may spread to other areas, but there is no way of predicting whether or where it will spread. In many cases, initial pigment loss will occur; then after several months, the number and size of the light areas become stable and may remain so for a long time.
MulTiclear – A novel safe and effective therapy for Vitiligo.
MultiClear combines the proven science of full body phototherapy with a new level of safety and efficacy. The MultiClear allows your dermatologist to treat only your psoriasis lesions without damaging the surrounding normal skin. In addition he may employ higher energies of therapeutic light considerably shortening treatment times. Multiclear is especially relevant to people with mild or moderate viltigo that covers up to 30 percent of their skin area. Responding patients may experience some repigmentation of their lesions in 20 short sessions as compared to approx. 100 sessions with full body light boxes.
Stretch Marks :
The MultiClear repigmentation procedure is the best technology available today to repigment white skin including white stretch marks and hypopigmented scars. This unique computerized system emits the exact blend of light to allow pain free repigmentation. Treatment session are pain free and last 5-8 minutes.
Stretch marks are linear areas of skin caused by rupture of elastic fibers in the deeper layers of the skin. Stretch marks appear most commonly in pregnant women, adolescents in the rapid growing age and people after slimming diets. In their first stage the stretch marks are red; transforming after a few months to white.
Treatments are effective for all skin types and ages. Published clinical work has shown that partial pigmentation of stretch marks treated by the MultiClear starts after 1-4 treatments. Treatments are usually delivered twice a week for 4-5 weeks. Clinical experience shows a 80 percent response rate in patient with skin type 3, response in individual patients may vary. Excessive UV light exposure is associated with skin aging and should be avoided. Reaction to MultiClear treatments maybe compared to reaction to sunlight but in contrast to sun tanning it delivers the light only to treated areas without any damage to normal healthy skin. Targeting the MultiClear™ to specific areas was shown to achieve therapeutic results in many medical and aesthetic disorders with smaller light doses than needed in full body tanning on the beach or artificial light tanning parlors.
Acne:
Studies indicate that most people experience acne prone skin at some time in their life. Acne prone skin is the result of hormonal changes which cause the enlargement and blocking of the oil-producing sebaceous glands near the hair follicles within the skin. Acne prone skin usually begins with an abnormal amount of bacteria, mainly Propionibacterium acne (P.acnes). This typically causes painful pimples that can appear on the face, the back, the chest and other parts of the body. If neglected, pimples may produce scar.
MulticClear Phototherapy employs a unique intense pure violet/blue light that treats acne prone skin. A typical treatment session takes only 30 minutes. You sit or lie comfortably while the light is applied. The treatment is very relaxing. Most important: it is painless and safe. Patients often listen to music while being treated.
Psoriasis:
About 2-3 % of the population suffers from this disease, but fortunately most of the cases are mild. Statistically, there is no difference between men and women in the incidence of psoriasis. Most of the time the disease appears between the ages of ten and thirty, but its first manifestations can appear at any age.
Psoriasis is not a communicable disease, and it usually does not cause itching or any other physical sensation. Psoriasis is characterized by red patches covered with white scales. It is most usually found on the elbows, the knees and the scalp. In more severe cases other areas of the body are affected, and in rare cases the entire body surface is involved. The cause of psoriasis is unknown, but since 30% of psoriasis patients report that a family member also suffers from the disease, it is assumed that heredity plays a part.
MultiClear combines the proven science of full body phototherapy with a new level of safety and efficacy. The sophisticated technology of the MultiClear allows the doctor to choose the exact wavelengths that best suits the specific skin condition. Multiclear is especially relevant to people with mild or moderate psoriasis that covers up to 30 percent of their skin area. Patients may experience flattening of their lesions in 6-10 short session as compared to 30-40 sessions with full body light boxes.
Morphea:
Morphea is a thickening and indurations of the skin and subcutaneous tissue due to excessive collagen deposition. There are different subtypes according to the clinical presentation. Cause is unknown. In US 27 new patients per 1 million population per year. The actual may be higher because many cases may not come to medial treatment. Women are affected 3 times as often as men.
Keloids:
Keloid is a large raised scar that spreads beyond the size of the original wound. Keloids were treated with high intensity UVA1 at a starting dose of 3J/cm2. ” The MultiClear seems to be superior to the slow acting and painful steroidal intralesional injections or Cryotherapy “.
